Monitor competitor pricing pages with Gumloop

Research & market intelligence · checked 2026-10-17

A scheduled Gumloop flow checks competitors' pricing pages each week and records changes. Claude explains what changed and why it might matter. You decide whether anything needs action and log it in Notion.

Goal

Know when a competitor changes price, without checking by hand.

Connects through: Built-in integration

Steps

#WhoWhat happensHowStatus
1Gumloop agent Runs on a weekly scheduled trigger and reads each pricing page with its agent browser
Agents can also run on app triggers such as emails or Slack messages.
Built-in integration Confirmed · source ↗
2Claude Compares this week's page text with last week's and summarizes what changed AI platform Confirmed
3You Decide on any response and log it in Notion Human step Confirmed

Confirmed means the vendor documents it (linked). It doesn't mean IonBin has tested it. AI-platform and human steps need no source.

Human approval

You decide on any pricing response.

Watch out for

Pages change layout often; a "change" may be a redesign, not a new price.

Which AI platforms can run it

PlatformStatusWhy
Claude (incl. Claude Code) Confirmed No platform-specific connection: the steps run in the tools themselves (browser, upload or built-in).
OpenAI Codex Confirmed No platform-specific connection: the steps run in the tools themselves (browser, upload or built-in).
Google Antigravity Confirmed No platform-specific connection: the steps run in the tools themselves (browser, upload or built-in).
ChatGPT Confirmed No platform-specific connection: the steps run in the tools themselves (browser, upload or built-in).
Gemini Confirmed No platform-specific connection: the steps run in the tools themselves (browser, upload or built-in).
Perplexity Confirmed No platform-specific connection: the steps run in the tools themselves (browser, upload or built-in).

Computed from the MCP and API steps only: "Confirmed" needs the tool's docs to name the platform and the platform to support the connection. Browser, upload and human steps work from any platform.

What we checked (2026-10-17)

Gumloop agents can run on scheduled triggers, recurring or one-time, as well as on app triggers such as emails and Slack messages. The agent browser runs Chromium on the agent’s computer, supports pages that need JavaScript, and lets you replay every browser step after a task finishes, which makes it easy to see what the agent actually read. The Gumloop MCP server lets Claude manage the agent and fetch results. Check each competitor site’s terms of use before you automate visits, and keep the frequency low.

Set it up

  1. Build a Gumloop agent with the list of competitor pricing URLs and an instruction to return plan names, prices and limits as text.
  2. Add a weekly scheduled trigger.
  3. Each week, ask Claude to compare the latest result with the previous one and list real changes in price, plans or limits, separately from layout changes.
  4. Decide whether anything needs a response, and log the change and your decision in Notion.
