Confirmed means the vendor documents it (linked). It doesn't mean IonBin has tested it. AI-platform and human steps need no source.

You decide what to publish.

Watch out for

Keep the human approval step: You decide what to publish.

Starter prompt

Goal: Know when popular advice and the evidence diverge. Tools involved: Perplexity, Consensus, Claude. Your part: web answer with citations through perplexity’s remote mcp server; scholarly answer with papers through the consensus mcp server; tables agreements and conflicts. Work step by step, show me each draft or proposed change, and wait for my approval before anything is sent, published, signed, filed or changed in a live system.

What we checked (2026-10-17)

  • Perplexity MCP. The remote server signs in to your Perplexity account, and you choose which API organization to bill. You need to be an admin of an organization that can pay for API usage. There’s also a local server that uses an API key. Either way, it’s billed as API usage, separate from Pro or Max subscriptions.
  • Consensus MCP searches more than 400 million scholarly articles. Pro ($12 a month billed annually) includes 500 API and MCP uses a month. The $0 plan lists none.

Set it up

  1. Ask the same question to Perplexity and to Consensus through Claude.
  2. Have Claude build a table with the claim, the web view, the research view, and whether they agree, conflict or the evidence is missing.
  3. Open the sources behind every conflict.
  4. When popular advice runs ahead of the evidence, say so plainly. Word the uncertainty to match how strong the studies are.

This works best for narrow questions. Broad questions get broad answers from both sides.
