Components / Animated components
React Bits
Adapt animated source components to a defined visual system.
Understand the resource
What it is.
React Bits offers animated components and backgrounds as editable source, with JavaScript or TypeScript and CSS or Tailwind options. The range is useful for controlled experiments rather than a substitute for a complete product system.
When it is useful
A page needs a specific text, background or interaction treatment.
A proposed application
Put it to work.
This example illustrates a possible use. The proposed workflow and expected result are separate from the bounded checks recorded below.
Try this
Try a single title effect using approved copy, then verify the title remains readable without animation.
Result to aim for
An isolated visual treatment that can be removed or tuned.
Before you start
What you need.
- A compatible React project and review of the selected installation path.
The practical boundaries
What to watch for.
- Decorative text effects can harm readability or duplicate screen-reader output.
- A source install still brings dependency and maintenance work; repository access failed during this check although the official link was visible.
Review record
What we could establish.
- Public primary documentation and the bounded account-free checks below were reviewed. Selecting Dune changed the live background preset’s aria-checked state; two canvases were present. Visual quality and frame rate were not scored.
The source-review notes describe documentation and identity. The account-free evaluation below records exactly which public interaction or local fixture was checked, what happened, and what remains untested.
Check current access, terms, licensing and data handling before using a resource with your own material.
Runtime and security evaluation
What the evaluation covers.
Selecting Dune changed the live background preset’s aria-checked state; two canvases were present. Visual quality and frame rate were not scored.
Methods: Public HTTP response · Public browser sample. A completed check covers the stated sample; it is not a safety certification.
- Target
- https://reactbits.dev/
- Version or capture
- Unversioned public page checked 2026-10-19
- Integrity scope
- sha256:111a26d11bcdfbe543e924982c34a1500096d99701244bb7304bb5030f25a998
Test conditions
- Chromium 155.0.8059.82 on Windows; fresh temporary profile and fresh account-free contexts.
- Public HTTPS GET/HEAD requests only; telemetry/auth routes and WebSockets blocked. No account storage or credential environment variables.
Individual checks and observations
Public document and DOM
passPublic browser sample: Fresh Chromium GET, then inspect rendered controls after hydration delay
Observed: HTTP 200; 19 captured button labels; 0 inputs; 2 canvases.
Background preset selection
passPublic browser sample: Choose Dune in the live homepage background sample
Observed: Preset aria-checked changed=true; canvases=2. Rendering quality and frame rate not scored.
Security findings and boundaries
Passive inspection of the public response headers, requested hosts and the named browser sample. No active exploitation, authenticated permissions test or complete security audit.
Observed · caution
Canvas motion sits outside CSS-only checks
The live sample used canvases. Counting CSS or Web Animations API animations cannot establish whether those canvases stop drawing under reduced motion.
Practical caveats
- Inspect the selected effect’s render loop, cleanup and motion fallback, especially before using it behind text.
- Pin and recheck the selected version or sample before adoption; the observations apply only to the scope and date shown.
What remains untested
- No local install, WebGL fallback test, memory profiling or physical-device performance test.
- Fresh-browser restrictions can affect external assets and hydration. Initial failed selectors and limited probes remain in the evidence; they are not blanket product failures.
Security limits
- No authenticated workspace, private content, production backend permissions or data-retention verification.
- No local install, WebGL fallback test, memory profiling or physical-device performance test.
