coss ui
Start from Base UI-backed product components.
Understand the resource
What it is.
The current coss ui catalog describes a component library built on Base UI. Its inventory covers common product interactions, including command menus, date pickers, comboboxes and chat composers.
When it is useful
You need a coherent starting point for a React application with many stateful controls.
A proposed application
Put it to work.
This example illustrates a possible use. The proposed workflow and expected result are separate from the bounded checks recorded below.
Try this
Prototype a scheduling settings screen and verify how the date picker, form labels and confirmation states work together.
Result to aim for
A consistent application screen ready for integration review.
Before you start
What you need.
- A compatible React stack and review of each component’s setup documentation.
The practical boundaries
What to watch for.
- A library’s component inventory does not establish suitability for your application’s framework versions or data flows.
- Integrating a library still requires keyboard, screen-reader and state-management checks in your application.
Review record
What we could establish.
- Public primary documentation and the bounded account-free checks below were reviewed. A documented accordion responded to Enter with aria-expanded false → true → false. This was the hosted sample, not a local Base UI integration.
The source-review notes describe documentation and identity. The account-free evaluation below records exactly which public interaction or local fixture was checked, what happened, and what remains untested.
Check current access, terms, licensing and data handling before using a resource with your own material.
Runtime and security evaluation
What the evaluation covers.
A documented accordion responded to Enter with aria-expanded false → true → false. This was the hosted sample, not a local Base UI integration.
Methods: Public HTTP response · Public browser sample. A completed check covers the stated sample; it is not a safety certification.
- Target

- Version or capture
- Unversioned public page checked 2026-10-19
- Integrity scope
- sha256:23a635fbf6fed1a3261f527395fdacca655526368d7d0edbc5419411eccf7ca9
Test conditions
- Chromium 155.0.8059.82 on Windows; fresh temporary profile and fresh account-free contexts.
- Public HTTPS GET/HEAD requests only; telemetry/auth routes and WebSockets blocked. No account storage or credential environment variables.
Individual checks and observations
Public document and DOM
passPublic browser sample: Fresh Chromium GET, then inspect rendered controls after hydration delay
Observed: HTTP 200; 3 captured button labels; 0 inputs; 0 canvases.
Accordion keyboard toggle
passPublic browser sample: Focus the first accordion trigger; press Enter twice and inspect aria-expanded
Observed: aria-expanded false -> true -> false; label What is Base UI?.
Security findings and boundaries
Passive inspection of the public response headers, requested hosts and the named browser sample. No active exploitation, authenticated permissions test or complete security audit.
Observed · caution
State semantics were observed in one accordion
The tested trigger exposed its expanded state and accepted keyboard activation. That result does not transfer automatically to every copied component or customized wrapper.
Practical caveats
- Keep the trigger semantics and keyboard behavior when adapting the component; test content that changes height or wraps.
- Pin and recheck the selected version or sample before adoption; the observations apply only to the scope and date shown.
What remains untested
- No local install, full accordion key-map review or assistive-technology test.
- Fresh-browser restrictions can affect external assets and hydration. Initial failed selectors and limited probes remain in the evidence; they are not blanket product failures.
Security limits
- No authenticated workspace, private content, production backend permissions or data-retention verification.
- No local install, full accordion key-map review or assistive-technology test.
