Components / Styled React component library
Mantine
Build application screens from a coordinated component, hook and theme system.
Understand the resource
What it is.
Mantine combines styled React components with hooks, theming and optional packages for concerns such as forms and dates. It gives a team a larger starting surface than unstyled primitives. Core styles and a provider are part of the setup; optional packages need their own configuration.
When it is useful
Use it for internal tools, account screens and content-heavy applications where consistency and delivery speed matter more than inventing every control. It is less of a shortcut when the design requires changing most component structures.
A proposed application
Put it to work.
This example illustrates a possible use. The proposed workflow and expected result are separate from the bounded checks recorded below.
Try this
Proposed workflow: create a knowledge-import review screen with an accordion for source details, warnings and transformation notes. Choose heading levels that fit the page, keep the blocking warning visible outside collapsed content, and add a separate approval action. The executed checks covered the fruit accordion demo, not imports or approval storage.
Result to aim for
A coherent review screen with reusable spacing and field conventions, while critical information remains visible before approval.
Before you start
What you need.
- The current @mantine/core 9.7.3 manifest requires React and React DOM ^19.2.0 plus @mantine/hooks 9.7.3. Keep core and hooks versions aligned.
- Import the required styles and add MantineProvider; evaluate extra packages separately. The inspected core package is MIT licensed.
The practical boundaries
What to watch for.
- Older tutorials may target different React and styling requirements. Match documentation to your installed major version.
- Accordion heading order is application-specific and is not imposed automatically by the library.
- Component visibility and disabled states do not authorize imports, approvals or other backend changes.
Review record
What we could establish.
- Why included (2026-10-19): Adds a mature, styled application toolkit with recent releases, balancing the expansion's unstyled foundations. GitHub reported 31,837 stars for the upstream repository (mantinedev/mantine); the sampled default-branch commit is dated 2026-10-18. This is a dated popularity/activity snapshot, not a measured growth rate or safety ranking.
- Public official documentation and declared package requirements reviewed. The example above is a proposed workflow; executed checks are listed separately below.
- Earlier selector, focus-timing and setup probes remain in the retained evidence. Final conclusions use the corrected bounded tests and keep unmet coverage explicit.
The source-review notes describe documentation and identity. The account-free evaluation below records exactly which public interaction or local fixture was checked, what happened, and what remains untested.
Check current access, terms, licensing and data handling before using a resource with your own material.
Runtime and security evaluation
What the evaluation covers.
The official accordion toggled with Enter, moved to the next trigger with ArrowDown and exposed a visible panel with matching controls/label references. No Mantine package was installed and no form or import was submitted.
Methods: Public HTTP response · Public browser sample. A completed check covers the stated sample; it is not a safety certification.
- Target
- https://mantine.dev/core/accordion/
- Version or capture
- Unversioned public demo observed 2026-10-19; registry snapshot @mantine/core 9.7.3 was not locally executed.
- Integrity scope
- Public document SHA-256 9e5240c5d89a7ec06d11770b7ea012c1cf50cca3c1e3350d2ee8f9b5811090f3; initial response only, not complete application integrity. Source snapshot e47e45af06427b3b2497100c2b849935c23af30d does not identify the hosted deployment.
Test conditions
- Chrome 155.0.8059.82, 1280 x 900 desktop viewport; UTC browser context.
- Fresh temporary browser profile and context; no inherited account storage. Child environment allowed only runtime paths, with credential variables omitted.
- Public HTTPS GET/HEAD only; form submission, non-read methods, WebSockets, service workers and downloads blocked. Selected telemetry requests were blocked.
Individual checks and observations
Public sample response
passPublic HTTP response: Anonymous public GET; capture status, response-body hash and selected headers.
Observed: HTTP 200; https://mantine.dev/core/accordion/. Reachability only.
Accordion keyboard expansion
passPublic browser sample: Focus the first documented accordion trigger; press Enter twice and inspect aria-expanded.
Observed: Expanded true -> false -> true.
Accordion arrow-key navigation
passPublic browser sample: Focus the first trigger, press ArrowDown and inspect whether focus moves to the next trigger.
Observed: Focus moved to second trigger=true. Only this adjacent navigation step was exercised.
Accordion panel association
passPublic browser sample: Open the first trigger and verify its aria-controls target is visible with matching label reference.
Observed: {"expanded":"true","panelExists":true,"panelVisible":true,"labelMatches":true}
Security findings and boundaries
Passive inspection of official public response headers and request hosts, declared package metadata, and the exact local fixture where stated. No exploitation, authentication, private input or backend writes.
Documented · caution
Heading structure remains an application decision
Mantine's Accordion documentation asks authors to set a suitable order for the page hierarchy. Its component API does not select the right heading level for your screen.
Observed · info
Sampled response and request surface
The anonymous HTTPS demo response included none of the selected security response headers. Requests attempted 4 additional host(s), including fonts.googleapis.com, img.icons8.com, fonts.gstatic.com, www.googletagmanager.com. The guard blocked 1 request(s). Host attempts include blocked requests; this does not establish retained data or exploit resistance.
Practical advice · caution
Check the installed dependency graph separately
The registry snapshot identifies @mantine/core 9.7.3, but this review did not install or audit it. Lock and review the versions that actually enter your application; the hosted demo's success is not a dependency audit.
Practical caveats
- Older tutorials may target different React and styling requirements. Match documentation to your installed major version.
- Accordion heading order is application-specific and is not imposed automatically by the library.
- Component visibility and disabled states do not authorize imports, approvals or other backend changes.
What remains untested
- Only the documented accordion sample was tested; forms, dates, uploads, SSR, responsive layouts and optional packages were not exercised.
- Heading structure and associated labels were inspected for this sample only; no complete accessibility audit was performed.
Security limits
- No authentication, authorization, tenant isolation, retention or backend processing was tested.
- No comprehensive source/dependency audit, vulnerability scan or security certification. Header presence or absence describes one response, not the safety of a product.
- Request guards can alter normal page behavior. Full browser, mobile, assistive-technology and performance coverage is outside this evaluation.
