Components / Animated components
Magic UI
Add a small set of motion components to a product presentation.
Understand the resource
What it is.
Magic UI provides animated React components and effects using TypeScript, Tailwind CSS and Motion. Its public page positions the library alongside shadcn/ui and separates components from Pro blocks and templates.
When it is useful
You have a working page and want one purposeful attention cue.
A proposed application
Put it to work.
This example illustrates a possible use. The proposed workflow and expected result are separate from the bounded checks recorded below.
Try this
Use a modest reveal for a feature demonstration, then verify keyboard access and an immediate static version.
Result to aim for
A controlled animated component within the existing page.
Before you start
What you need.
- React, TypeScript/Tailwind compatibility and the relevant motion dependencies.
The practical boundaries
What to watch for.
- Library compatibility does not guarantee that several effects will share timing, semantics or acceptable cost.
- Check the terms for the specific component or template; this review makes no blanket free-access claim.
Review record
What we could establish.
- Public primary documentation and the bounded account-free checks below were reviewed. Activating a public testimonial control created a YouTube embed. This tested the site’s media launcher only; library components and playback completion were not tested.
The source-review notes describe documentation and identity. The account-free evaluation below records exactly which public interaction or local fixture was checked, what happened, and what remains untested.
Check current access, terms, licensing and data handling before using a resource with your own material.
Runtime and security evaluation
What the evaluation covers.
Activating a public testimonial control created a YouTube embed. This tested the site’s media launcher only; library components and playback completion were not tested.
Methods: Public HTTP response · Public browser sample. A completed check covers the stated sample; it is not a safety certification.
- Target
- https://magicui.design/
- Version or capture
- Unversioned public page checked 2026-10-19
- Integrity scope
- sha256:6ffc2aaf464d85f13d2d7c83b1344781ef887585ba084ccf46ff8062c2662587
Test conditions
- Chromium 155.0.8059.82 on Windows; fresh temporary profile and fresh account-free contexts.
- Public HTTPS GET/HEAD requests only; telemetry/auth routes and WebSockets blocked. No account storage or credential environment variables.
Individual checks and observations
Public document and DOM
passPublic browser sample: Fresh Chromium GET, then inspect rendered controls after hydration delay
Observed: HTTP 200; 14 captured button labels; 0 inputs; 0 canvases.
Public media preview activation
passPublic browser sample: Activate a testimonial Play control and inspect the embedded player
Observed: YouTube embedded players 0 -> 1. This tests public media activation only; playback completion and library components were not tested.
Security findings and boundaries
Passive inspection of the public response headers, requested hosts and the named browser sample. No active exploitation, authenticated permissions test or complete security audit.
Observed · caution
Media previews add a third-party dependency
The tested control introduced a YouTube iframe. Embedding such media in your own site introduces a separate provider and data-flow decision.
Practical caveats
- Evaluate the specific component you want to ship; a working marketing-page preview does not establish its runtime behavior.
- Pin and recheck the selected version or sample before adoption; the observations apply only to the scope and date shown.
What remains untested
- No component installation, authenticated templates, complete media playback or reduced-motion guarantee.
- Fresh-browser restrictions can affect external assets and hydration. Initial failed selectors and limited probes remain in the evidence; they are not blanket product failures.
Security limits
- No authenticated workspace, private content, production backend permissions or data-retention verification.
- No component installation, authenticated templates, complete media playback or reduced-motion guarantee.
