Components / Component collection
Great UI
Find a compact component starting point for a small interface.
Understand the resource
What it is.
Great UI presents a curated set of React/Tailwind components with live examples. It can help a small prototype move forward, provided the team checks the component behavior rather than relying on the site’s accessibility description.
When it is useful
You need a limited UI surface and can inspect each adopted piece.
A proposed application
Put it to work.
This example illustrates a possible use. The proposed workflow and expected result are separate from the bounded checks recorded below.
Try this
Build a small team page with one accordion and check heading order, focus and expanded states.
Result to aim for
A focused page draft with a manageable component inventory.
Before you start
What you need.
- React/Tailwind compatibility and ownership of the copied implementation.
The practical boundaries
What to watch for.
- The publisher’s accessible-components claim was not independently tested.
- Decide how copied components will share tokens and receive maintenance; adding a second collection is an integration choice, not a universal prohibition.
Review record
What we could establish.
- Public primary documentation and the bounded account-free checks below were reviewed. Selecting Accordion changed the homepage showcase text. No expanded-state controls were exposed in that showcase, so accordion keyboard behavior remains unverified.
The source-review notes describe documentation and identity. The account-free evaluation below records exactly which public interaction or local fixture was checked, what happened, and what remains untested.
Check current access, terms, licensing and data handling before using a resource with your own material.
Runtime and security evaluation
What the evaluation covers.
Selecting Accordion changed the homepage showcase text. No expanded-state controls were exposed in that showcase, so accordion keyboard behavior remains unverified.
Methods: Public HTTP response · Public browser sample. A completed check covers the stated sample; it is not a safety certification.
- Target
- https://www.great-ui.com/
- Version or capture
- Unversioned public page checked 2026-10-19
- Integrity scope
- sha256:e306a0c6fcf7e4049b9a1cc8a13980b937d01d6775abe2c478af93696dc48fa2
Test conditions
- Chromium 155.0.8059.82 on Windows; fresh temporary profile and fresh account-free contexts.
- Public HTTPS GET/HEAD requests only; telemetry/auth routes and WebSockets blocked. No account storage or credential environment variables.
Individual checks and observations
Public document and DOM
passPublic browser sample: Fresh Chromium GET, then inspect rendered controls after hydration delay
Observed: HTTP 200; 13 captured button labels; 0 inputs; 2 canvases.
Component showcase selection
passPublic browser sample: Select Accordion in the homepage component chooser and inspect the selected showcase
Observed: Selected showcase text changed=true; 0 expanded-state controls exposed. This confirms the chooser, not accordion keyboard behavior.
Security findings and boundaries
Passive inspection of the public response headers, requested hosts and the named browser sample. No active exploitation, authenticated permissions test or complete security audit.
Observed · caution
A showcase selection is not component validation
The chooser changed its visible content, but the probe did not reach an interactive accordion. The missing assertion is a coverage limit, not proof that the library’s accordion is broken.
Practical caveats
- Open and test the specific component implementation before relying on the collection’s accessibility description.
- Pin and recheck the selected version or sample before adoption; the observations apply only to the scope and date shown.
What remains untested
- No component installation, actual accordion activation, screen-reader testing or complete component audit.
- Fresh-browser restrictions can affect external assets and hydration. Initial failed selectors and limited probes remain in the evidence; they are not blanket product failures.
Security limits
- No authenticated workspace, private content, production backend permissions or data-retention verification.
- No component installation, actual accordion activation, screen-reader testing or complete component audit.
