Turn Stripe events into team tasks

Ops & admin automation · checked 2026-10-16

Make watches Stripe events such as new customers, failed payments or disputes and creates an item on a monday.com board (or a ClickUp task) with the details, so an owner can follow up.

What we checked

Stripe sends events such as customer.created and payment_intent.payment_failed to webhook endpoints. You don’t have to build the endpoint yourself: Make’s Stripe app has a Watch Events instant trigger, and Make adds the webhook in Stripe automatically when you save a scenario with it. You pick the event groups and events to watch. Make’s monday.com app has a Create an Item module, and its ClickUp app has Create a Task, so the board item can carry the customer, amount and a link back to Stripe. Stripe advises handling events from the event’s data object or retrieving the latest version of the object. People handle every customer-facing follow-up.

Set it up

  1. In Make, add Stripe Watch Events and choose the events you want, such as new customers, failed payments and disputes.
  2. Add a filter so only the events your team acts on continue.
  3. Add monday.com Create an Item (or ClickUp Create a Task) with the customer, amount, event type and a Stripe link.
  4. Assign an owner and a due date for each event type.
  5. Review open items weekly and close the ones that are done.
