Ship a small AI tool to production
Dev, web & IT · checked 2026-10-17
Build a small internal or customer-facing tool with a coding agent, keep it in GitHub, and deploy it on Railway through Railway’s MCP server, with transactional email through Resend.
Independent review. IonBin has no partnership with any tool on this page and was not paid for this page. Our evaluation is our own, based on public documentation and our research. Product names are trademarks of their owners and are used for identification only. How disclosure works.
Goal
Go from idea to a deployed tool without a platform team.
The remote server deploys staged changes (accept-deploy), redeploys and hands log analysis to its railway-agent tool; Railway marks destructive tools so clients ask for confirmation.
Confirmed means the vendor documents it (linked). It doesn't mean IonBin has tested it. AI-platform and human steps need no source.
Human approval
You approve each deploy.
Watch out for
Keep the human approval step: You approve each deploy.
Starter prompt
Goal: Go from idea to a deployed tool without a platform team. Tools involved: GitHub, Railway, Resend. Your part: writes the app code and tests; hosts the repository and pull requests; deploys the service and shows logs. Work step by step, show me each draft or proposed change, and wait for my approval before anything is sent, published, signed, filed or changed in a live system.
Assembled from this page’s goal and steps. Paste it into your AI platform and adjust it to your situation.
Railway: pairing not named in vendor docs; Resend: code execution to verify (or run it in Make or n8n)
Perplexity
To verify
GitHub: pairing not named in vendor docs; Railway: pairing not named in vendor docs; Resend: code execution to verify (or run it in Make or n8n)
Computed from the MCP and API steps only: "Confirmed" needs the tool's docs to name the platform and the platform to support the connection. Browser, upload and human steps work from any platform.
What we checked
GitHub MCP server gives agents access to repositories, issues and pull requests, so the code and the review live in one place.
Railway MCP server. The remote server can stage and deploy changes (accept-deploy), redeploy and hand log analysis or debugging to its railway-agent tool. Railway marks destructive tools at the protocol level, so clients that respect those hints ask for confirmation. With OAuth, you choose which workspaces and projects the client can reach, and tokens can be revoked.
Resend sends transactional email through a single API call from your code, and also publishes an MCP server.
Costs. Railway bills by usage. Its Hobby plan has a $5 monthly minimum that includes $5 of usage (Railway pricing page, checked 2026-10-17). Watch usage after your first deploy.
Set it up
Have your coding agent write the app and its tests on a branch, and open a pull request.
Review the diff and tests yourself before merging.
Deploy on Railway through MCP and confirm each deploy when your client asks.
Send a test email through Resend before real users sign up.
