Review last week's Klaviyo campaigns and flows with an AI client

Marketing content & social · checked 2026-10-18

Claude pulls campaign and flow performance from Klaviyo's MCP server and writes a short weekly review. You check the numbers in Klaviyo before changing any campaign.

Goal

Spot weak campaigns and flows each week without building the report by hand.

Connects through: MCP

Steps

  1. Klaviyo

Returns campaign and flow performance for the last 7 days through the Klaviyo MCP server

    MCPConfirmedSource ↗
  2. Claude

Ranks campaigns and flows by conversions and flags any with a sharp drop in opens or clicks

    AI platformConfirmed
  3. You

Check the figures in Klaviyo and decide what to change

    Human stepConfirmed

Confirmed means the vendor documents it (linked). It doesn't mean IonBin has tested it. AI-platform and human steps need no source.

Human approval

The review is read-only. Changes to campaigns or flows are made by you in Klaviyo.

Watch out for

Klaviyo's tool list marks which tools are read-only and which create content. Ask for read-only tools explicitly. Small lists swing a lot from week to week, so don't act on one week's change alone.

Starter prompt

Using the Klaviyo MCP server, show the performance of email campaigns sent in the last 7 days and the top 5 flows by conversions over the same period. Compare with the previous 7 days, flag anything that changed by more than 20% and keep it under 200 words. Use only read-only tools.

Which AI platforms can run it

PlatformStatusWhy
Claude (incl. Claude Code) To verify Klaviyo: MCP pairing needs route-specific evidence; a named plugin or CLI does not establish it
OpenAI Codex To verify Klaviyo: MCP pairing needs route-specific evidence; a named plugin or CLI does not establish it
Google Antigravity To verify Klaviyo: MCP pairing needs route-specific evidence; a named plugin or CLI does not establish it
ChatGPT To verify Klaviyo: MCP pairing needs route-specific evidence; a named plugin or CLI does not establish it
Gemini To verify Klaviyo: MCP pairing needs route-specific evidence; a named plugin or CLI does not establish it
Perplexity To verify Klaviyo: MCP pairing needs route-specific evidence; a named plugin or CLI does not establish it

Readiness considers the connection evidence and unresolved steps. Confirmed: documented access and the proposed steps meet the recorded requirements. MCP and API pairings require an explicit reviewed platform note; a named plugin or CLI alone does not confirm MCP. Inferred: an explicit page note describes a plausible pairing that still needs testing. To verify: a connection or step is unresolved. An API and code execution alone do not establish compatible network access, credentials or permissions. None of this is IonBin testing.

What we checked (2026-10-18)

  • Klaviyo MCP server. Klaviyo documents a remote-hosted server, which it recommends, and a local one. Its example prompts include campaign performance over the last 30 days and the flows that convert best.
  • Tool list. The documentation groups tools by category and marks which are read-only, which handle user-generated content and which are on the remote server.

Set it up

  1. Connect the remote Klaviyo MCP server in Claude.
  2. Run the prompt above every Monday.
  3. Open the flagged campaigns and flows in Klaviyo and check the figures there.
  4. Write down what you changed and why, so next week’s review has context.
  5. Compare against the same weekday each time. Send times and holidays shift results, so note them in the review.

Pilot it on a small sample first, and keep the human step even when the output looks right. This is a proposed sequence based on documented tools, not a tested account integration.
