Draft a Klaviyo email campaign with an AI client, then review it before sending

Marketing content & social · checked 2026-10-18

Goal

Get a first draft of a promotional email into Klaviyo faster, without losing control of what goes out.

  4. You

Review copy, audience, consent and schedule in Klaviyo, then send or schedule it yourself

    Human stepConfirmed

Confirmed means the vendor documents it (linked). It doesn't mean IonBin has tested it. AI-platform and human steps need no source.

Human approval

You send or schedule the campaign yourself after reviewing it in Klaviyo.

Watch out for

A draft can be scheduled or sent by mistake if your client is allowed to. Keep the prompt explicit about drafts only. Check discount codes, dates and legal lines yourself, and make sure the audience only includes people who agreed to marketing.

Starter prompt

Using the Klaviyo MCP server, create an email campaign for the brief below and leave it unscheduled. Give me 3 subject line options and use the one I choose. Use the audience I name and don't schedule or send it. Brief: [offer, audience, dates, claims to check].

Which AI platforms can run it

PlatformStatusWhy
Claude (incl. Claude Code) To verify Klaviyo: MCP pairing needs route-specific evidence; a named plugin or CLI does not establish it
OpenAI Codex To verify Klaviyo: MCP pairing needs route-specific evidence; a named plugin or CLI does not establish it
Google Antigravity To verify Klaviyo: MCP pairing needs route-specific evidence; a named plugin or CLI does not establish it
ChatGPT To verify Klaviyo: MCP pairing needs route-specific evidence; a named plugin or CLI does not establish it
Gemini To verify Klaviyo: MCP pairing needs route-specific evidence; a named plugin or CLI does not establish it
Perplexity To verify Klaviyo: MCP pairing needs route-specific evidence; a named plugin or CLI does not establish it

Readiness considers the connection evidence and unresolved steps. Confirmed: documented access and the proposed steps meet the recorded requirements. MCP and API pairings require an explicit reviewed platform note; a named plugin or CLI alone does not confirm MCP. Inferred: an explicit page note describes a plausible pairing that still needs testing. To verify: a connection or step is unresolved. An API and code execution alone do not establish compatible network access, credentials or permissions. None of this is IonBin testing.

What we checked (2026-10-18)

  • Klaviyo MCP server. Klaviyo lists creating an email campaign among its example prompts, alongside performance questions. The tool list marks which tools handle user-generated content.
  • Remote or local. Klaviyo offers a remote-hosted server, which it recommends, and a local one that you configure with environment variables.

Set it up

  1. Connect the remote Klaviyo MCP server in Claude.
  2. Write the brief, then run the prompt above.
  3. Open the draft in Klaviyo. Check every link, the audience, the sender and the unsubscribe footer.
  4. Send a test to yourself and check it on a phone and a desktop email client.
  5. Schedule or send the campaign from Klaviyo, then delete any drafts you no longer need so they don’t get sent later by mistake.

Pilot it on a small sample first, and keep the human step even when the output looks right. This is a proposed sequence based on documented tools, not a tested account integration.
