What we checked
Apify’s hosted MCP server loads its Actor and documentation tools by default, plus two ready-made Actors for web browsing and fetching. You can pick the tools with a tools parameter in the server URL. Without a token, it only serves Actor search and documentation lookup. Running Actors and reading storage needs an Apify API token. Bright Data’s MCP server has 32 tools, all on by default, including search_engine (Google, Bing or Yandex results) and scrape_as_markdown, which uses Bright Data’s unlocker for pages with bot protection.
