What we checked

  • Brex CSV. In the Brex dashboard, Expenses lets you choose columns with the gear icon, apply filters, save the view, and download the table in the format you pick. Account admins, card admins and bookkeepers can download everyone’s card expenses; other roles get their own.
  • Brex MCP (beta) lets AI assistants look up expenses, users, cards, banking transactions and bills. An account or card admin accepts the Developer API agreement, then turns on Brex in AI assistants under beta features. Each user connects with their own permissions. Brex recommends turning on human confirmation, and its tools may change while it’s in beta.
  • Julius AI has no MCP server, so you upload the CSV yourself.

Set it up

  1. Save a Brex Expenses view with date, merchant, category, amount, cardholder and memo columns.
  2. Download the month as a CSV and upload it to Julius.
  3. Ask Julius for outliers by person and category, and for anything that breaks your written policy.
  4. Have Claude draft the memo from the flagged list. Follow up with people before you call anything out of policy.
