Question

How do I make my offer easy for AI agents to evaluate and buy?

Verified Oct 17, 2026 Review by Jan 15, 2027 4 sources
Short answer

Answer four questions in plain text on the page an agent will read: what you do, what it costs, what the client gets and how fast. Mark the offer up with accurate structured data, and give a self-serve way to start. An agent cannot buy from "contact us for a quote." Clear pages help human buyers too, so the downside is close to zero.

What it is

AI assistants now research vendors for people, and some can complete a purchase. A page written to persuade a human skimmer can still leave an agent with nothing to compare.

How it works

  1. State the offer plainly. One sentence on what you do and for whom.
  2. Publish the price, or a clear starting price and what changes it.
  3. List the deliverables and the turnaround time.
  4. Offer a self-serve start: checkout, booking or a sign-up, not only a form that waits for a human.
  5. Add structured data (schema.org Offer and, for products, merchant listing markup) that matches the visible text.
  6. Check it the way an agent would. Ask an AI assistant with web access to compare your page with two competitors and see what it can’t find.

Benefits

  • Shortlisted more often when an assistant compares options.
  • Fewer unqualified calls, because buyers see price and scope first.
  • Ready for agent checkout when you adopt a protocol such as ACP or UCP. See agentic commerce.

Limits and risks

  • The case is mostly practitioner opinion. Dan Martell argued it in an April 2026 video and gave no measured results; the agent-checkout rails themselves are real and documented.
  • Some offers need a conversation. Publish a range and the factors that move it rather than nothing.
  • Never publish prices you won’t honor, and date any price you show.
