Create directory or landing pages from a Notion database
Marketing content & social · checked 2026-10-17
A coding agent reads a Notion database through Notion MCP and creates draft CMS items in Webflow (MCP) or Framer (external agents). A human reviews and publishes.

Goal
Build many structured pages (locations, tools, comparisons) from one source of truth.
Creates CMS items through the Framer agent connection
Framer says a connected agent can read and write CMS collections, including creating, updating and deleting items; you stay in control of what gets published.
Confirmed means the vendor documents it (linked). It doesn't mean IonBin has tested it. AI-platform and human steps need no source.
Human approval
You publish. The agent only creates drafts.
Watch out for
Keep the human approval step: You publish. The agent only creates drafts.
Starter prompt
Goal: Build many structured pages (locations, tools, comparisons) from one source of truth. Tools involved: Notion, Webflow, Framer (alternative). Your part: holds the structured data, one row per page; maps each row to a page template; creates cms items without publishing them. Work step by step, show me each draft or proposed change, and wait for my approval before anything is sent, published, signed, filed or changed in a live system.

Computed from the MCP and API steps only: "Confirmed" needs the tool's docs to name the platform and the platform to support the connection. Browser, upload and human steps work from any platform.
What we checked
Webflow MCP can create and manage CMS collections and items, and it lists publishing as its own action. It works on every site plan, including the free Starter plan. Anyone with a site role other than Reviewer can connect, and the server respects each user’s existing role permissions.
Rate limits. Webflow’s CMS API supports staged and live content. The Data API allows 60 requests a minute on Starter and Basic site plans and 120 on CMS, eCommerce and Business. Webflow doesn’t say whether MCP calls share that limit, so create items in small batches.
Framer doesn’t need a separate MCP server. You run its agent setup (npx @framer/agent setup), approve the connection in the browser, and the agent can read and write CMS collections, including creating, updating and deleting items.
Notion MCP reads the databases you have access to.
Set it up
Give the Notion database one row per page and one column per field the template needs.
Ask your coding agent to map ten rows to draft CMS items first, not the whole table.
Spot-check the drafts for wrong or empty fields, then publish yourself.
