Build an onboarding notebook new hires can question
SOPs & process documentation · checked 2026-10-17
Put your SOPs, product docs and FAQs into one Gemini Notebook and share it with new teammates, who can ask it questions and get cited answers. An owner refreshes the sources monthly.

What we checked (2026-10-17)
Notion can export any non-database page as a Markdown file, and full-page databases as CSV with Markdown files for each subpage. Gemini Notebook accepts Markdown, PDF, Word and text files, Google Docs and web URLs as sources. Google’s Workspace page suggests this exact use: upload training manuals, guides, policies and FAQs so new hires can find information buried in long documents, with citations for verification. Google’s plans page lists advanced sharing as a paid feature, so check your plan before you share a notebook with a team.
Set it up
Export the SOPs, product docs and FAQs a new hire needs from Notion as Markdown.
Create a notebook, add the files, and remove any older versions.
Share it with new teammates and tell them to open the citation behind any answer they act on.
Once a month, review what people asked, fix the gaps in the SOPs in Notion, and re-export.
