Build a landing page with a coding agent in Framer
Marketing content & social · checked 2026-10-17
Connect Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Gemini CLI to your Framer project with Framer’s agent setup, build sections from a brief, add brand assets exported from Canva, and publish after review.

Goal
Launch a campaign page in one session without hand-building every section.
Lets a connected agent edit the project, CMS and content (no separate MCP server needed)
Framer says agents work best on structured project data (CMS, localization, redirects) and can also make content and design changes. They can’t change some settings, such as project names and domains, assign overrides or read analytics.
Add the exported files to the Framer project in the editor
Framer doesn’t document importing a Canva export through the agent, so add assets yourself.

Human step
Confirmed
Confirmed means the vendor documents it (linked). It doesn't mean IonBin has tested it. AI-platform and human steps need no source.
Human approval
You publish in Framer after review.
Watch out for
Keep the human approval step: You publish in Framer after review.
Starter prompt
Goal: Launch a campaign page in one session without hand-building every section. Tools involved: Framer, Canva. Your part: writes the page copy from your brief; exports brand assets (png, pdf or mp4, for example) through the canva mcp server. Work step by step, show me each draft or proposed change, and wait for my approval before anything is sent, published, signed, filed or changed in a live system.

Canva: pairing not named in vendor docs
Computed from the MCP and API steps only: "Confirmed" needs the tool's docs to name the platform and the platform to support the connection. Browser, upload and human steps work from any platform.
What we checked
Framer’s agent connection. Framer says external agents such as Claude Code, Codex in ChatGPT, Cursor and Gemini CLI connect through its agent setup, with no separate MCP server. You run npx @framer/agent setup, the first connection opens your browser to approve access, and you add an API key the first time.
What agents can do. They work best on structured data (CMS items, localization, redirects) and can also make content and design changes, such as a new hero or a features section. They can’t change some project settings such as names and domains, assign overrides, or read analytics.
Canva assets. The Canva MCP server can export designs in formats such as PNG, PDF and MP4, and the connector works on every Canva plan. Framer doesn’t document a path for the agent to pull those files in, so you add them in the editor.
Set it up
Write a one-page brief: audience, offer, sections and call to action.
Have your AI platform draft the copy, then let the Framer agent build the sections.
Export logos and graphics from Canva and add them in Framer.
