Goal
Get both the polished long version and shorts from one recording.
Confirmed means the vendor documents it (linked). It doesn't mean IonBin has tested it. AI-platform and human steps need no source.

Starter prompt
Goal: Get both the polished long version and shorts from one recording. Tools involved: Descript, OpusClip. Your part: edits the full episode; your ai assistant can work on it through descript’s mcp server. Work step by step, show me each draft or proposed change, and wait for my approval before anything is sent, published, signed, filed or changed in a live system.

Computed from the MCP and API steps only: "Confirmed" needs the tool's docs to name the platform and the platform to support the connection. Browser, upload and human steps work from any platform.
What we checked (2026-10-17)
Descript MCP signs in with your Descript login and is scoped to one Drive. It can import media, edit with Underlord, publish to a Descript web link and export transcripts. It can’t download a rendered file without publishing. Export from the Descript app for that.
OpusClip create project takes the URL of a long video and imports public videos from platforms including YouTube, Google Drive, Vimeo, Zoom, Dropbox and Riverside. The API needs a Pro (Beta), Max or Business plan.
Export settings. Neither source recommends specific export settings for clipping. Export at the resolution you edited in.
Set it up
Finish the episode in Descript, including captions and Studio Sound.
Export it and put it somewhere OpusClip can import from, such as a shareable Google Drive or Dropbox link, or your YouTube upload.
Create the OpusClip project from that URL, through the API or the OpusClip app.
Review every clip for context. A sentence cut from its setup can say something you didn’t mean.
