Analyze an export by chatting with it

Business data & reporting · checked 2026-10-17

Pull Stripe data into Julius AI with a stored API key, or export PostHog query results through its MCP server, ask Julius questions and get charts, then have Gamma draft a short deck from the findings you choose to share.

Confirmed means the vendor documents it (linked). It doesn't mean IonBin has tested it. AI-platform and human steps need no source.

Keep the human approval step: You check numbers and approve what is shared.

Starter prompt

Goal: Answer a business question from raw data in an hour, without building a dashboard. Tools involved: Stripe, PostHog (alternative), Julius AI, Gamma. Your part: runs a query through its mcp server; save the result as a csv for julius; drafts a deck from the selected charts. Work step by step, show me each draft or proposed change, and wait for my approval before anything is sent, published, signed, filed or changed in a live system.

Computed from the MCP and API steps only: "Confirmed" needs the tool's docs to name the platform and the platform to support the connection. Browser, upload and human steps work from any platform.

What we checked

  • Julius and Stripe. Julius’s docs walk through storing a Stripe API key in Julius (per conversation or account-wide) and then asking it to pull transaction or customer data. Julius can call other APIs, but Julius itself can’t be called by API and has no MCP server. Use a restricted, read-only Stripe key for this, not your full secret key (our advice).
  • PostHog MCP is a hosted server (https://mcp.posthog.com/mcp) that can run HogQL queries. Connecting and calling its tools costs nothing, but some tools use AI internally and may be billed as PostHog AI spend. Save query results as a CSV and upload them to Julius.
  • Gamma MCP can generate a deck from your outline and charts and export it. Generation uses your Gamma credits.

Set it up

  1. Write down the one question you want answered.
  2. Pull the data into Julius and ask the question, along with the follow-ups it raises.
  3. Check the key numbers against Stripe or PostHog directly.
  4. Give Gamma the findings you’d share and edit the deck before it goes anywhere.
