What we checked

Instantly documents an MCP server that lets an AI assistant create, pause and update campaigns, add and move leads, view and reply to emails, pull performance metrics and manage sending accounts. That is 31 tools in five groups. Setup uses an Instantly API key, which Instantly says to keep private because it works like a password to your account. Its guide walks through Claude Desktop and Cursor. Instantly’s example prompts include “Show me which campaigns have the best reply rates this week” and “Pause campaigns with less than 2% reply rates.” We found no inbox-placement report among the documented tool groups, so this page no longer claims one.

Set it up

  1. Create an API key in Instantly under Integrations → API Keys.
  2. Add the Instantly MCP server to your AI client and keep tool approval turned on.
  3. Ask for last week’s reply rates by campaign and a short list of copy tests to try.
  4. Approve each change before the assistant pauses or edits a campaign, and check the result in Instantly.
