Automate a web task that has no API

Human step
Confirmed
Confirmed means the vendor documents it (linked). It doesn't mean IonBin has tested it. AI-platform and human steps need no source.
Human approval
The agent stops before any submit or purchase.
Watch out for
Check each site’s terms; some ban automated access.
Starter prompt
Goal: Automate the tools that never shipped an API. Tools involved: Browser Use. Your part: runs the task in a cloud browser through its mcp server (run_session); you can watch it on the live url. Work step by step, show me each draft or proposed change, and wait for my approval before anything is sent, published, signed, filed or changed in a live system.
Assembled from this page’s goal and steps. Paste it into your AI platform and adjust it to your situation.
Computed from the MCP and API steps only: "Confirmed" needs the tool's docs to name the platform and the platform to support the connection. Browser, upload and human steps work from any platform.
What we checked (2026-10-17)
Browser Use MCP is a remote server at api.browser-use.com that authenticates with an API key. Its tools include run_session to run a task in a cloud browser, get_session to check status, step count, cost and a live URL, send_task to send follow-ups to a kept-alive session, and stop_session.
Pricing is pay as you go: browsers cost $0.02 an hour, residential proxies $5 per GB, and agent runs cost the model price plus 20%. Eligible signups get a one-time $1 credit. Browser Use says API-key monthly spending caps are soft limits, so concurrent work can go over them.
Site terms. Some websites ban automated access in their terms. Check before you automate, and don’t use this to get around logins or paywalls you don’t have rights to.
Set it up
Write the task as numbered steps and end with “stop before submitting”.
Run it and watch the live URL the first few times.
When it stops, check the filled-in form or cart yourself, then submit by hand.
Keep logins out of the prompt. Use a dedicated account with the least access the task needs.
