Motion & effects / Motion components
Motion Primitives
Build interface transitions from editable components.
Understand the resource
What it is.
Motion Primitives provides animated React interface components using Motion and Tailwind CSS, with a public documentation site and official repository. The site includes interactive demonstrations, and the repository still labels the project as beta.
When it is useful
An application needs a reusable transition pattern with code under team control.
A proposed application
Put it to work.
This example illustrates a possible use. The proposed workflow and expected result are separate from the bounded checks recorded below.
Try this
Prototype a collapsible details panel and specify focus, interruption and reduced-motion behavior before adopting it.
Result to aim for
An inspectable component adapted to the application.
Before you start
What you need.
- A compatible React, Motion and Tailwind setup for integration.
- Review the exact copied component and dependency versions before production use.
The practical boundaries
What to watch for.
- Beta components can change; a working hosted demo is not a compatibility test for your application.
- Reduced motion was requested during the browser sample, but animation behavior and assistive-technology support were not audited comprehensively.
Review record
What we could establish.
- The documentation site now loads. A public dialog opened and dismissed with Escape after its exit animation; no component was installed into a local application.
The source-review notes describe documentation and identity. The account-free evaluation below records exactly which public interaction or local fixture was checked, what happened, and what remains untested.
Check current access, terms, licensing and data handling before using a resource with your own material.
Runtime and security evaluation
What the evaluation covers.
The public demo opens a dialog and closes it with Escape. The documentation gap is resolved; local integration, dependency safety and comprehensive accessibility remain untested.
Methods: Public HTTP response · Public browser sample · Source review. A completed check covers the stated sample; it is not a safety certification.
- Target

- Version or capture
- Unversioned public page observed 2026-10-19
- Integrity scope
- SHA-256 95f092f909856db76014bbca882ebcc1cea8d8e884ef86c954959ed52ea7544d of one initial HTML response (71246 bytes). This does not fingerprint the entire application or its dependencies.
Test conditions
- Windows; Chrome 155.0.8059.82 headless via Playwright, fresh isolated contexts with a 1365 × 900 viewport.
- Reduced motion requested. GET/HEAD requests allowed; other methods and WebSocket connections blocked.
- No owner browser profile, account, credentials, purchase, upload, private fixture or service write.
Individual checks and observations
Public documentation
passPublic browser sample: Open the site and confirm the linked official repository.
Observed: HTTP 200 and interactive component demos rendered.
Dialog interaction
passPublic browser sample: Open the public dialog, wait for animation, press Escape and wait for exit.
Observed: Visible dialog count changed from 1 to 0.
Application integration
not-runPublic browser sample: Install or copy the component into a project.
Observed: This lane tested the publisher's hosted demo, not a pinned local dependency fixture.
Security findings and boundaries
Public demo navigation, request destinations and official repository description; no dependency audit.
Observed · info
Demo media comes from several origins
The initial demo loaded image/media assets from Pinterest, Spotify and Cosmos-related hosts alongside analytics scripts. That is a property of the hosted example, not proof that copied components make the same requests.
Practical advice · caution
Audit the component you actually adopt
Inspect imports, dependencies and any remote assets in the selected component. Validate focus handling and reduced-motion behavior inside your own application.
Practical caveats
- Wait for exit animations when checking dialog state; the initial immediate count was premature and the delayed check resolved it.
- A hosted-demo pass does not establish library-wide keyboard or screen-reader behavior.
What remains untested
- No package installation, lockfile audit, local build, performance benchmark or full accessibility test.
- Only one dialog sample was asserted; other components were not validated.
Security limits
- Passive public-page observations and the stated bounded sample only; no exploitation, authenticated authorization, backend, retention or comprehensive dependency audit.
- Request blocking changes application behavior; no secure/safe certification is implied.
