Motion & effects / Microinteraction components
MicroKit UI
Use small interaction examples to clarify feedback.
Understand the resource
What it is.
MicroKit offers copyable React and CSS microinteractions, with an official shadcn registry link. Its collection includes navigation, input and button treatments that can be evaluated individually.
When it is useful
A working product needs clearer feedback at a few specific moments.
A proposed application
Put it to work.
This example illustrates a possible use. The proposed workflow and expected result are separate from the bounded checks recorded below.
Try this
Adapt a tab indicator while retaining the tab semantics and an obvious selected state without motion.
Result to aim for
A focused interaction improvement.
Before you start
What you need.
- CSS or a supported React/TypeScript/Tailwind setup, depending on the component.
The practical boundaries
What to watch for.
- A hover or drag demo may need an alternative for keyboard and touch use.
- Registry installation modifies project code and dependencies; inspect the chosen item before use.
Review record
What we could establish.
- Public primary documentation and the bounded account-free checks below were reviewed. Selecting Activity changed the visible Expanding Icon Tabs sample’s DOM state. This checked the public interaction; the registry component was not installed.
The source-review notes describe documentation and identity. The account-free evaluation below records exactly which public interaction or local fixture was checked, what happened, and what remains untested.
Check current access, terms, licensing and data handling before using a resource with your own material.
Runtime and security evaluation
What the evaluation covers.
Selecting Activity changed the visible Expanding Icon Tabs sample’s DOM state. This checked the public interaction; the registry component was not installed.
Methods: Public HTTP response · Public browser sample. A completed check covers the stated sample; it is not a safety certification.
- Target
- https://microkit.co/
- Version or capture
- Unversioned public page checked 2026-10-19
- Integrity scope
- sha256:a43e35480145d326797b4e2ae53a5e83f64d98461761635999728496c3132a57
Test conditions
- Chromium 155.0.8059.82 on Windows; fresh temporary profile and fresh account-free contexts.
- Public HTTPS GET/HEAD requests only; telemetry/auth routes and WebSockets blocked. No account storage or credential environment variables.
Individual checks and observations
Public document and DOM
passPublic browser sample: Fresh Chromium GET, then inspect rendered controls after hydration delay
Observed: HTTP 200; 70 captured button labels; 6 inputs; 0 canvases.
Interactive tabs sample
passPublic browser sample: Switch the visible Expanding Icon Tabs sample from Overview to Activity
Observed: Activity control DOM state changed=true; no user data or backend request submitted.
Security findings and boundaries
Passive inspection of the public response headers, requested hosts and the named browser sample. No active exploitation, authenticated permissions test or complete security audit.
Observed · caution
Demo selection does not validate application callbacks
The sample changed its rendered control state without a backend. A copied tab can still require correct content association, labels and app-level routing.
Practical caveats
- Test keyboard navigation and content association after integrating the selected component, rather than inheriting a gallery result.
- Pin and recheck the selected version or sample before adoption; the observations apply only to the scope and date shown.
What remains untested
- No local registry install, full tab key-map, screen reader or application callback test.
- Fresh-browser restrictions can affect external assets and hydration. Initial failed selectors and limited probes remain in the evidence; they are not blanket product failures.
Security limits
- No authenticated workspace, private content, production backend permissions or data-retention verification.
- No local registry install, full tab key-map, screen reader or application callback test.
