Design systems / Design system extractor
Hyperbrowser DESIGNMD
A DESIGNMD interface that requires a Hyperbrowser API key before the workflow opens.
Understand the resource
What it is.
Hyperbrowser DESIGNMD now loads an API-key gate rather than only a boot screen. The public interface links to Hyperbrowser and the DESIGN.md specification, but extraction and export behavior cannot be established without a key.
When it is useful
Consider it when researching extraction options, after confirming the tool’s current behavior.
A proposed application
Put it to work.
This example illustrates a possible use. The proposed workflow and expected result are separate from the bounded checks recorded below.
Try this
Try an owned public demo in a separate evaluation and compare extracted values with browser-computed styles.
Result to aim for
A candidate to evaluate, not a confirmed extraction result.
Before you start
What you need.
- A Hyperbrowser API key is required by the visible initial interface.
- A review of key scope, storage and service data handling before supplying credentials or private URLs.
The practical boundaries
What to watch for.
- A masked API-key field does not establish secure storage or restricted downstream use.
- Extraction accuracy, generated files and JavaScript-rendered target-page support were not tested.
Review record
What we could establish.
- The public application returned HTTP 200 and displayed a password-type API-key field. Save key was disabled while empty; no key was entered.
The source-review notes describe documentation and identity. The account-free evaluation below records exactly which public interaction or local fixture was checked, what happened, and what remains untested.
Check current access, terms, licensing and data handling before using a resource with your own material.
Runtime and security evaluation
What the evaluation covers.
The application renders an explicit API-key gate. The empty form stays disabled, and extraction is untested because this evaluation uses no credentials.
Methods: Public HTTP response · Public browser sample · Source review. A completed check covers the stated sample; it is not a safety certification.
- Target
- https://design-md.hyperbrowser.ai/
- Version or capture
- Unversioned public page observed 2026-10-19
- Integrity scope
- SHA-256 9bd26a5482ecc50c3383b9b5b7399853cf1a39000f030ca9d34559a57ec5d81e of one initial HTML response (5659 bytes). This does not fingerprint the entire application or its dependencies.
Test conditions
- Windows; Chrome 155.0.8059.82 headless via Playwright, fresh isolated contexts with a 1365 × 900 viewport.
- Reduced motion requested. GET/HEAD requests allowed; other methods and WebSocket connections blocked.
- No owner browser profile, account, credentials, purchase, upload, private fixture or service write.
Individual checks and observations
Public application load
passPublic browser sample: Navigate to the documented application in a fresh context.
Observed: HTTP 200; DESIGNMD and Hyperbrowser API key controls rendered.
Empty credential boundary
passPublic browser sample: Inspect input type and Save key state without entering a value.
Observed: One password-type field was present and Save key was disabled.
Extraction and export
not-runPublic browser sample: Stop at the visible credential boundary.
Observed: No API key, website extraction or generated file was used.
Security findings and boundaries
Unauthenticated initial interface, HTTPS response metadata and observed request origins.
Observed · info
Credential entry is an explicit boundary
The initial view requires a key and masks its entry. Only the application origin was requested during this initial sample; this does not establish where a submitted key is stored or sent.
Practical advice · caution
Scope a key before connecting it
Use the service's documented key permissions and usage controls before entering a credential. The account-free test did not assess storage, rotation, billing exposure or target-URL access.
Practical caveats
- Budget for an API-backed workflow rather than assuming a keyless public converter.
- Do not infer the output specification is implemented merely because the specification is linked.
What remains untested
- Credential handling and backend calls were not exercised.
- Current extraction capabilities remain a documentation gap.
Security limits
- Passive public-page observations and the stated bounded sample only; no exploitation, authenticated authorization, backend, retention or comprehensive dependency audit.
- Request blocking changes application behavior; no secure/safe certification is implied.
