Colorion Animated Buttons

Compare button feedback styles without adopting an entire kit.

What this status means

Understand the resource

What it is.

This Colorion library presents CSS button interactions with code to inspect and adapt. It is most useful when a product already has button semantics and needs a restrained visual treatment.

When it is useful

A primary action needs feedback consistent with the rest of the interface.

A proposed application

Put it to work.

This example illustrates a possible use. The proposed workflow and expected result are separate from the bounded checks recorded below.

Try this

Apply one effect to an existing semantic button and create matching focus, pressed and disabled states.

Result to aim for

One button treatment across input methods.

Before you start

What you need.

  • An existing button component and CSS review.

The practical boundaries

What to watch for.

  • Hover-only behavior excludes touch and keyboard users.
  • Keep label contrast stable during the effect; check the selected snippet’s reuse conditions.

Review record

What we could establish.

  • Public primary documentation and the bounded account-free checks below were reviewed. The first Fill Up CSS sample was disclosed and rendered locally. Its fill panel moved on hover, and the authored native button retained keyboard activation and a visible focus outline.
Source coverage and runtime coverage are separate

The source-review notes describe documentation and identity. The account-free evaluation below records exactly which public interaction or local fixture was checked, what happened, and what remains untested.

Check current access, terms, licensing and data handling before using a resource with your own material.

Runtime and security evaluation

What the evaluation covers.

Bounded runtime checkedAccount-free ·

The first Fill Up CSS sample was disclosed and rendered locally. Its fill panel moved on hover, and the authored native button retained keyboard activation and a visible focus outline.

Methods: Public HTTP response · Public browser sample · Local package fixture. A completed check covers the stated sample; it is not a safety certification.

Test conditions

  • Chromium 155.0.8059.82 on Windows; fresh temporary profile and fresh account-free contexts.
  • Public HTTPS GET/HEAD requests only; telemetry/auth routes and WebSockets blocked. No account storage or credential environment variables.
  • Synthetic local inputs only. Package/skill source inspected before execution; no install lifecycle scripts run.
  • Local package/CSS browser fixtures block real network. Variate additionally uses Node filesystem permissions and a no-network preload.

Individual checks and observations

  1. Public document and DOM

    pass

Public browser sample: Fresh Chromium GET, then inspect rendered controls after hydration delay

Observed: HTTP 200; 70 captured button labels; 0 inputs; 0 canvases.

  2. CSS sample generation

    pass

Public browser sample: Open first CSS disclosure and inspect code or captured copy output; system clipboard is not written

Observed: Captured 1247 UTF-8 bytes; SHA256 dd260fbe774b60fa2c079769e7fc349d4be089eb48e941759e9357baa664a592. This verifies disclosed/generated output, not OS clipboard permission.

  3. Fill-panel hover response

    pass

Local package fixture: Read pseudo-element transform before and after pointer hover

    Observed: {"before": "matrix(1, 0, 0, 1, 0, 41)", "after": "matrix(1, 0, 0, 1, 0, 0)"}

  4. Native keyboard activation

    pass

Local package fixture: Tab to authored button and press Enter; inspect local click counter

    Observed: {"focused": true, "clicks": 1, "outlineStyle": "auto", "outlineWidth": "3px"}

  5. Visible focus boundary

    pass

Local package fixture: Inspect computed keyboard focus outline

    Observed: {"focused": true, "clicks": 1, "outlineStyle": "auto", "outlineWidth": "3px"}

Security findings and boundaries

Passive inspection of the public response headers, requested hosts and the named browser sample. Also inspected pinned source and the specified synthetic fixture outputs. No active exploitation, authenticated permissions test or complete security audit.

Observed · caution

The tested sample was self-contained CSS

The inspected sample contained no remote imports or script, and the isolated render made no outbound requests. That finding covers this hashed sample only.

Practical caveats

  • Keep semantic button markup and test your own colors, disabled state and touch behavior; the sample’s hover treatment alone is not a complete button contract.
  • Pin and recheck the selected version or sample before adoption; the observations apply only to the scope and date shown.

What remains untested

  • One sample only. Clipboard output was captured in memory; no operating-system clipboard permission, full collection or contrast audit.
  • Fresh-browser restrictions can affect external assets and hydration. Initial failed selectors and limited probes remain in the evidence; they are not blanket product failures.

Security limits

  • No authenticated workspace, private content, production backend permissions or data-retention verification.
  • One sample only. Clipboard output was captured in memory; no operating-system clipboard permission, full collection or contrast audit.
