Motion & effects / Motion reference
Appmotion
A historically documented motion gallery whose current address returns a host error page.
Understand the resource
What it is.
The creator's App Motion launch post links appmotion.design and describes a mobile-motion gallery. The current address returned a Framer site-not-found page in this review, so the historical identity is supported but a working collection could not be evaluated.
When it is useful
Keep it on a research shortlist for onboarding, tab changes and list feedback.
A proposed application
Put it to work.
This example illustrates a possible use. The proposed workflow and expected result are separate from the bounded checks recorded below.
Try this
Confirm the gallery is available, then document one state transition relevant to a synthetic app flow.
Result to aim for
A source to verify before using it in a brief.
Before you start
What you need.
- A working current publisher endpoint before using this as a live reference library.
The practical boundaries
What to watch for.
- The observed 404 does not establish a permanent shutdown or why the site is unavailable.
- Historical clips would still need source attribution and permission before reuse.
Review record
What we could establish.
- The maker's launch post confirms the original address. Two fresh browser visits returned HTTP 404 with a Framer site-not-found page; no alternate current publisher endpoint was established.
The source-review notes describe documentation and identity. The account-free evaluation below records exactly which public interaction or local fixture was checked, what happened, and what remains untested.
Check current access, terms, licensing and data handling before using a resource with your own material.
Runtime and security evaluation
What the evaluation covers.
The historical product identity is confirmed by its creator, but the live address returned a Framer 404 on both checks. No gallery sample was available.
Methods: Public HTTP response · Public browser sample · Source review. A completed check covers the stated sample; it is not a safety certification.
- Target
- https://appmotion.design/
- Version or capture
- Unversioned public page observed 2026-10-19
- Integrity scope
- SHA-256 6bf1cd32ca0adcac1450654b07cc736db54bd5dc3c7972a7fb8b8feb9d5bdac2 of one initial HTML response (2627 bytes). This does not fingerprint the entire application or its dependencies.
Test conditions
- Windows; Chrome 155.0.8059.82 headless via Playwright, fresh isolated contexts with a 1365 × 900 viewport.
- Reduced motion requested. GET/HEAD requests allowed; other methods and WebSocket connections blocked.
- No owner browser profile, account, credentials, purchase, upload, private fixture or service write.
Individual checks and observations
Historical identity
passSource review: Read the creator's primary launch post on Dribbble.
Observed: The post names App Motion and links appmotion.design.
Current endpoint
failPublic HTTP response: Open the address twice in fresh contexts.
Observed: Both checks returned HTTP 404 and a Framer site-not-found page.
Gallery runtime
blockedPublic browser sample: Look for usable gallery controls at the documented address.
Observed: No gallery entries or motion controls were available to exercise.
Security findings and boundaries
The public host error response only; the application itself did not load.
Observed · info
Host response is not application evidence
The response includes HSTS and nosniff headers, but it is a Framer error page. These observations say nothing about the former gallery's security or current application code.
Practical advice · caution
Do not substitute a lookalike domain
Use a newly confirmed publisher address if the product returns. A similar product name is insufficient evidence for a replacement link.
Practical caveats
- Use the creator post as historical context rather than a current working motion library.
- The failure is an observed availability condition, not a conclusion about safety or abandonment.
What remains untested
- No application runtime, clips, downloads, accounts or source code were available at the tested address.
Security limits
- Passive public-page observations and the stated bounded sample only; no exploitation, authenticated authorization, backend, retention or comprehensive dependency audit.
- Request blocking changes application behavior; no secure/safe certification is implied.
